In June, Kate and Diane celebrated their summer wedding in a beautiful ceremony filled with love and joy. The couple’s special day was a combination of very well planned details and spontaneous, heartwarming moments. The locations and venues includes The Neu Neu Wedding venue in Minneapolis was the perfect location. It was a day filled with love, laughter, and the start of a new chapter in their lives together.
First Look at The neu neu
For Kate and Daine, their first look was a highly emotional and memorable part of their day.

Diane, dressed in her stunning wedding gown, with her hair beautifully styled and a radiant smile, awaits Kat. There’s a mix of nerves, excitement, and anticipation in the air as they stood back to back , not seeing each other yet. Then, they slowly turn around and approach each other. The moment their eyes meet is filled with raw emotion—joy, love, and perhaps a few happy tears.
Kate and Diane took a moment to embrace, exchange a few words, simply revel in the sight of one another, taking in the details and the overwhelming feeling of seeing each other in their wedding attire for the first time.
Boom Island Photo Shoot
The day started with getting couples photos at the beautiful Boom Island Park in Northeast Minneapolis. The sun was shinning and it offered a few different scenes that we used to get some photos. You can also see the skyline in the background. It was absolutely stunning. K

The Neu Neu Wedding Venue: Ceremony and Celebration
Celebrating a same-sex LGBTQ wedding ceremony, like Kat and Diane’s, is a beautiful and significant moment that reflects the love, commitment, and union between two individuals.
Such ceremonies are marked by the same emotional and ceremonial aspects as any wedding, with a focus on love, respect, and the shared journey of the couple. In a same-sex wedding, the ceremony often includes elements that are personalized to the couple’s preferences, beliefs, and cultural background. There are unique traditions or symbols incorporated to honor and celebrate their relationship.
Two of Kat and Diane’s friends chose to co-officiate their wedding. The officiants were also part of the LGBTQ community and therefore, the space was welcoming and very supportive to our couple.
The ceremony itself included various customs, including exchanging vows, rings, and making a commitment to support and cherish each other. Officiants, friends, or family members were so responsive and supportive of the couple. Guests wore pride ties and there is a diverse group of guests.
Furthermore, what truly makes any wedding, including a same-sex LGBTQ ceremony, special is the celebration of love and commitment between two people, and the joy shared among friends and family as they witness and support the union. It was fun to see everyone dancing at the end of the night and enjoying each other’s company.
Other thoughts on the Neu Neu Space
Kat and Diane got a food truck for dinner. The space has a nice sized out door space for a truck to pull in and for people to hang out once they get their food. There were also tables set up inside. Folks really liked being able to hangout outside and it was a perfect summer evening by the time dinner rolled around.
The venue is centrally located in Minneapolis and is right downtown. This allows you to take advantage of the different scenes for photos for the couple and the group shots. I can’t think of a more perfect venue that an outdoor space, many different rooms to get ready in, and is welcoming. They are super responsive and everything was copacetic.
